SENTIERO NATURA DELLA VAL GRANDE DI LANZO
Thanks to the work of Club Alpino Italiano, this path is very easy to use: panels with maps, photos and travel times provide indications very well, with several exits to the hamlets of the Val Grande. The modest elevation gain is an extra feature that makes this route family-friendly too.
The itinerary links the town of Ceres (704 meters) to Forno Alpi Graie (1219 meters), going through the woods, the Stura stream, and fairytale landscapes. It is perfect for mountain biking or horseback riding. The stretch of path from Chialamberto (875 meters) to Forno Alpi Graie becomes a snowshoe trail in wintertime, thanks to the dedicated signs.
SENTIERO BALCONE
Panoramic and easy at the same time, this path serves many mountain pastures nearby during summer.
The route overlooks the upper Val Grande, above the treeline, allowing a priceless view. The road ends at the Gias Nuovo Fontane (elevation gain: 530 meters, 2.15 hours from the hamlet of Rivotti), at the foot of Barrouard, looking down upon Vallone della Gura and Levanna Orientale.
The path is accessible with snowshoes during the snowy period, enjoying a trip on the snow overlooking the valley.
